My Savior, Jesus Christ

I cannot tell you how much joy I find through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of my life experiences and the knowledge I have obtained, it has become evident that I will only receive a fullness of joy through my Savior, Jesus Christ. The gospel that testifies of the divinity of Christ not only lifts me up when I am struggling, but strengthens my testimony of my purpose here on Earth at this time. I know God, our Heavenly Father, and His son Jesus Christ have provided a pathway through life for each of us because we are loved. We are God's children, and as such, have the responsibility to love and care for each other.
As I go through life, my testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ continues to be strengthened. Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God the Father in the flesh. He was the Creator, He is my Savior, and will be my Judge. Through His performing the Atonement--His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and his sacrifice on the cross--Christ made it possible for me to be forgiven of my weaknesses and be redeemed from physical death. I am so thankful for my Savior and brother, Jesus Christ!

Sometimes...

Sometimes, I like it to be about me. I enjoy pampering myself on occasion and today was just one of those wonderful days :D Sometimes it's OK to walk around in a bright blue face-mask that would frighten any unsuspecting person. Sometimes I enjoy admiring my newly shaved legs as they gleam in the sunlight. And oh does a pedicure feel oh so right...

Smoke Detector

Today I set off the smoke detector a grand total of three times....talk about a hit to my cooking confidence...haha As roommate Keely and I ran around in panic trying to locate the OFF button, I had to laugh. Despite this setback (occurring three times), the chicken turned out fabulous!

Remember.

An afternoon filled with baking.

Yesterday, (all day) Latisha and I occupied ourselves with baking. A lot of baking. We baked banana bread, banana muffins, chocolate cookies, more chocolate cookies (our first batch was a fail), oreo pie, and polish kolachkis--Latisha's family recipe. Let's just say we committed to extra exercise this upcoming week!

This blob of [insert appropriate adjective here] goo
was our first attempt at chocolate cookies...YES.

The product of our hard work: Yum!!

I've decided to start this blog to capture as many memories as possible. Whether commemorating the great times, the unfortunate, or the just plain awesome ones, every moment is as important as the last. These precious memories will be brought from this life into the next. May we always remember to live each day to its fullest, respect ourselves, serve others, and honor our God.
